Deadly Earthquakes have struck Turkey and Syria
Thousands of people have lost their lives after two
devastating earthquakes struck the Turkey and Syria borders. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake is one of the strongest to hit
the region in 100 years.
Over 16,000 have already died and the situation is only
getting worse. Many are still stuck in the stone rubble while others are
starving without food or water. Help them now. A massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes has ravaged Turkey
and Syria and the death toll is almost surpassing 16,000. Two fresh earthquakes
of 5.6 and 5.7 magnitudes hit Turkey on Tuesday, 7 February, a day after mass
destruction on Monday.
Over 12,873 people died in Turkey and at least 3,162 in
neighboring Syria. The fear, helplessness, and debilitating impact of the
catastrophe have brought together the international community together.
International organizations, nation-states, and non-profits are doing their
best to deal with the situation at hand. SWAZ Federation along with the
organizations on-ground are going to great lengths to support those affected.
